Prayers to the fallen racer.....

Today was a solemn day out at the Great Park Criterium hosted by CBR and sponsored by Shimano and Rock n Road Cyclery.  One of the Cat 4/5 racers went down hard and broke, it appears, both arms and used his face to stop on the asphalt.  The racers slowed as they passed, maintained focus while the commentator and spectators helped keep the downed racer still while awaiting the paramedics.  The worst part of his accident was the compound fracture....It makes me not want to race.
